Two Local Men Join Love Island USA Cast

Our region will be well-represented on reality television this summer as two local men prepare to search for love on the small screen.

Sean Reifel of Easton, Pennsylvania, and Sincere Rhea of Cape May, New Jersey, are among the main cast members of Season 8 of Love Island USA, the popular reality dating show that premieres on Peacock on Tuesday, June 2. The show will follow a group of young, single people living together in a villa in Fiji as they compete for a $100,000 prize by coupling up and navigating romantic challenges.

Reifel, 29, brings an unusual background to the dating competition. In the cast introduction video, he emphasizes his law enforcement career rather than the typical reality TV résumé.

"I'm not a model, I'm not an actor. I'm a police officer," Reifel says in the video. "You could be having your worst day of your life, and I'll just help you sift through that."

According to a Facebook post, Reifel was sworn in as an officer for the Bethlehem Police Department in August 2025. However, on Thursday, May 28, Bethlehem Police confirmed to NBC10 that Reifel no longer works for their department.

Meanwhile, Rhea, 25, comes to the show as a former NCAA athlete, according to his Instagram page. The Cape May native showcases his playful personality in his introduction.

"I love my name, I like to be cheesy. I often end my emails with 'Sincerely, Sincere,'" Rhea says in the video.

The two local men will compete alongside ten other singles from across the country and England. The full Season 8 cast includes Aniya Harvey from Tyrone, Georgia; Beatriz Hatz from San Diego, California; Bryce Dettloff from Los Angeles, California; Gabriel Vasconcelos from Miami, Florida; KC Chandler from Fresno, California; Kenzie Annis from Kennesaw, Georgia; Melanie Moreno from Los Angeles, California; Trinity Tatum from Newport News, Virginia; Vasana Montgomery from Beaverton, Oregon; and Zach Georgiou from Birmingham, England.

During their time in the villa, contestants will participate in challenges and meet new arrivals known as "bombshells," who enter specifically to disrupt existing relationships and create new romantic possibilities.

Hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by comedian Iain Stirling, Love Island USA will drop new episodes daily at 9 p.m. during premiere week, followed by new episodes every day except Wednesdays thereafter. Viewers can tune in to see how our local representatives fare in their quest for love and the grand prize.
