Scooter Braun Praises Girlfriend Sydney Sweeney in Podcast

Music manager Scooter Braun has publicly expressed his affection for actress Sydney Sweeney, offering effusive praise for both her character and her professional work during a podcast interview this week.

"I've met an extraordinary woman, kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth," Braun, 44, said of Sweeney, 28, in an interview on the "Second Thought With Suzy Weiss" podcast on Thursday, May 28, according to Us Weekly. While the music manager did not mention the Euphoria actress by name during the interview, he described finding love with Sweeney as "one of the biggest surprises ever."

When asked whether he has been watching the latest season of HBO's Euphoria, which features Sweeney in a prominent role, Braun offered high praise for her acting abilities. "I am catching it. I'm biased … I like it. I think there's been an incredible performance by a certain actress," he stated, according to Us Weekly.

The relationship between Braun and Sweeney first drew public attention last summer when the pair were observed spending time together in Italy ahead of the June 2025 wedding of Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos. Sweeney made the relationship official on social media earlier in May, sharing photographs of the couple at the Stagecoach country music festival. She subsequently posted a minute-long montage of romantic moments via her Instagram Stories later in the month.

According to a source who spoke exclusively to Us Weekly in April, the relationship has progressed beyond initial expectations. "They are the real deal, and their relationship has become very serious," the source stated. The insider added that "people around them thought that this would be just a fling, but they are committed."

The Housemaid actress "really appreciates Scooter's support with all her projects," the source told the publication, adding that Sweeney "loves hearing his feedback."

During the Thursday podcast episode, Braun also addressed his public dispute with Taylor Swift, which emerged following his purchase of Big Machine Label Group and the resulting control of the master recordings for Swift's first six albums. Braun characterized the situation as transformative, stating he went "from being like, loved and appreciated for over a decade to literally a villain the next night," according to Us Weekly.

"I don't know Taylor Swift. I think I've met her in my life three times," Braun claimed during the interview. "I think I spoke to her, really, once for like more than two minutes. But it was a very nice conversation. And beyond that, nothing ever. And then the three years prior to us buying Big Machine, she and I had no contact. I think it was two years. The party was like two years earlier or three years earlier, and then never had any contact through the whole thing. So I'm just as confused that this is part of my life as you are. But, I choose to learn and grow from it."

Braun has built a prominent career in the music industry, managing high-profile artists and navigating complex business transactions. His relationship with Sweeney represents a notable development in his personal life as the actress continues to rise in prominence within the entertainment industry.
