Ocean City Beach Tags: Discount Ends Sunday

Time is running out for beachgoers looking to save on their summer shore access. Ocean City has announced that seasonal beach tags for summer 2026 remain available at the discounted price of $30 through Sunday, May 31 — giving residents and visitors just three more days to lock in the savings before prices increase.

Starting Monday, June 1, the cost for a seasonal beach tag will jump to $35, representing a $5 increase for anyone who waits to purchase. For families planning multiple beach trips this summer, the early-bird discount can translate to meaningful savings.

Beach tags will be required for all beachgoers ages 12 and older throughout the 2026 season, which runs from June 1, 2026, through September 7, 2026. Currently, only seasonal tags are available for purchase, though weekly tags ($20) and daily tags ($10) will become available once the season begins.

Where to Purchase Beach Tags

For those who prefer the convenience of online shopping, seasonal tags can be purchased at store.ocnj.us. However, Ocean City is also making it easy for residents to buy tags in person with multiple locations across town offering extended hours.

City Hall, located at 861 Asbury Ave., offers the most extensive hours, selling tags from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Ocean City Music Pier, situated on the Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace, maintains similar availability with sales from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The Route 52 Welcome Center provides weekday service from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with weekend hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The 46th Street Welcome Center operates Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For weekday shoppers, the Henry Knight Building at 12th Street and Haven Avenue sells tags from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Early birds and fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of the Aquatic & Fitness Center at 17th Street and Simpson Avenue, which offers the earliest opening time at 5 a.m. Monday to Friday (closing at 9 p.m.), with weekend hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

With the Memorial Day weekend behind us and summer officially on the horizon, now is the time for our community to prepare for another season of enjoying Ocean City's beautiful beaches. Whether you're a year-round resident or planning regular visits throughout the summer, the $5 savings on seasonal tags makes purchasing before Sunday's deadline a smart choice.
