Katie Holmes Steps Out With New York Artist

Katie Holmes has been spotted with a new romantic interest during an evening out in the Hamptons. The actress attended a film screening alongside New York-based artist Jason Bard Yarmosky on Friday, July 10, according to photographs obtained by People magazine.

The pair were photographed holding hands while arriving at The Cinema Society's screening of The Invite at the East Hampton Regal UA. Holmes, 47, and Yarmosky, 38, appeared comfortable together during the public outing.

Yarmosky specializes in paintings and drawings that explore themes of aging, time, and memory. A 2010 graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, his work has been exhibited at prominent institutions throughout the United States, including the Brooklyn Museum of Art. His professional website provides details about his artistic practice and exhibitions.

The sighting arrives approximately one month after Holmes celebrated the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Happy Hours, her new romantic comedy that reunites her with Joshua Jackson. The former Dawson's Creek co-stars portrayed beloved characters Joey Potter and Pacey Witter on the WB drama series during the 1990s.

Holmes and Jackson, both 47, briefly dated while working on the teen drama before their characters became romantically involved on screen. Though their relationship lasted only one year, the two have maintained a close friendship over the decades.

Speaking at the Tribeca Film Festival in June while standing beside Holmes, Jackson reflected on their enduring connection. The time spent together during their youth remains deeply meaningful to both actors, he explained, describing it as one of the core personal and professional relationships in his life.

Holmes serves as writer and director of Happy Hours in addition to starring in the film. The project, planned as a trilogy, examines whether a couple whose spark has faded should attempt to rekindle their relationship. Production took place throughout New York City earlier this year, generating considerable attention as the former co-stars reunited on set.

During her Tribeca appearance, Holmes discussed her approach to bringing Jackson aboard the project. She emphasized taking the collaboration seriously and wanting to honor Jackson's talent appropriately. The two had frequently discussed working together again but had never identified the right project until Happy Hours. When Jackson agreed to participate, Holmes felt validated in her vision for the film.

At the premiere, Jackson and Holmes walked the red carpet together and held hands before the screening. Jackson subsequently posted a tribute to Holmes on Instagram in June, acknowledging the many contributors to the film while focusing his appreciation on the actress.

His social media post credited Holmes's light with bringing together the production team and praised the generosity of spirit that motivated her to share this hopeful, loving story with audiences.
