Country music power couple Kane Brown and Katelyn Jae Brown stepped out for a glamorous evening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, attending the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards. The annual awards show, hosted this year by Shania Twain, drew the industry's biggest names for a night celebrating country music excellence.
The appearance marks another public outing for the couple, who have built both a personal and professional partnership since their first meeting in 2015. Kane Brown, known for hits including "Heaven" and "Thank God," has become one of country music's most prominent voices, while Katelyn has emerged as both a social media influencer and musical collaborator with her husband.
The couple's love story began at Kane's first-ever show in Florida in 2015, though their initial encounter nearly did not happen. Kane had been scheduled to appear in Katelyn's music video the day before his performance, but the timing conflict prevented their collaboration. A year later, fate intervened when a mutual colleague brought Katelyn to one of Kane's shows.
"We met, we didn't talk at all — I maybe said hey to her — but I thought she was adorable and I kept looking at her all night," Kane recalled during an August 2020 interview with Radio.com. "So I asked her to come to Nashville, like, the next day, I flew her down and we just hit it off and she never left!"
The couple married in Nashville in October 2018 and have since welcomed three children: daughters Kingsley, born October 30, 2019, and Kodi, born December 2021, along with son Krewe Allen Brown, who arrived June 18, 2024.
Beyond their family life, Kane and Katelyn have collaborated musically, most notably on their duet "Thank God," which appeared on Kane's album Different Man in September 2022. The song has become a staple of their public performances, with the couple sharing intimate moments onstage during renditions at events including the CMT Music Awards in April 2023 and the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas in September 2023.
In September 2024, Kane spoke candidly about balancing his touring schedule with family responsibilities following the birth of their son. "My wife is a boss," he noted during an exclusive interview ahead of his final United States stop on the In the Air Tour. "She holds it down the house and [they] FaceTime me probably every two hours. So I always get to see them."
Despite the challenges of life on the road, Kane revealed that he and Katelyn have continued working on new music together. "There's two [duets with Katelyn] on this album," he disclosed while in Arlington, Texas. "There's one for country and one for pop." He added that his "next single is about my girls," describing the upcoming album as "pretty personal" and "unique."
The Academy of Country Music Awards represent one of the genre's most prestigious honors, recognizing outstanding achievement across multiple categories. The event brings together established stars and emerging talent for performances and award presentations that celebrate the year's best in country music.
For Kane and Katelyn, the Las Vegas appearance continues their tradition of supporting the country music community while maintaining their status as one of the genre's most visible couples. Their journey from that chance meeting in Florida to raising three children while pursuing successful careers demonstrates the evolution of modern country music families navigating fame, artistry, and domestic life.
