Kai Cenat Faces Lawsuit Over Manhattan Event Safety

A Manhattan event hosted by prominent streamer Kai Cenat has resulted in legal action, with an attendee claiming he experienced two near-heatstroke incidents due to allegedly unsafe conditions.

Caleb Gottfried, who goes by the name SNRVK, filed a lawsuit against Cenat's company following his attendance at a Streamer University event held at a Manhattan college last month. According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Gottfried alleges that conditions at the venue were so severe that he nearly suffered heatstroke on two separate occasions, with New York Police Department officers present to witness the incidents.

The legal complaint attributes the alleged medical emergencies to what Gottfried describes as negligent crowd control and a complete failure to provide standard safety and ventilation measures at the event. He is seeking more than $330,000 in damages.

Beyond the safety allegations, Gottfried claims his image was used without authorization in commercial advertising for the event. The lawsuit states that Cenat used him as background talent in promotional materials but never provided any release or waiver paperwork to obtain his consent for such usage.

This lawsuit represents the second piece of recent legal trouble for Cenat. A separate individual has filed suit claiming he was assaulted by a member of Cenat's security team.

Representatives for Cenat have not responded to requests for comment regarding either lawsuit.
