Justin Baldoni Speaks Out on Blake Lively Legal Battle

Justin Baldoni has broken his silence on his prolonged legal conflict with Blake Lively, characterizing the entire ordeal with a single word: "Injustice."

The "It Ends With Us" director appeared alongside his wife, Emily, to address the legal saga stemming from Lively's sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit related to their 2024 film. Baldoni maintained that he was the wronged party in the dispute, describing the fallout as an injustice against him rather than the actress.

The couple explained their decision to remain silent throughout the legal proceedings, stating they did not want to contribute additional noise to an already contentious situation. Baldoni noted that too many untruthful statements had been made over the past two years, and they preferred to allow the justice system to proceed without interference.

Emily Baldoni addressed the personal toll the legal battle took on their family, stating the experience traumatized them. "Disguised as a fight for women," Emily told TMZ.com, expressing confusion about how the situation escalated to such a degree.

The director acknowledged that he and his wife are now concentrating on healing, though he recognized the recovery process has not followed a straightforward path. The couple has worked to identify what truly matters in their lives: their children, family, friends, community, and faith.

Both Justin and Emily expressed gratitude toward supporters who stood by them during the legal proceedings. Baldoni specifically credited those who trusted their intuition and offered prayers, stating the couple feels deeply loved as they continue the healing process with their family.

The legal dispute involved multiple lawsuits. Baldoni filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion. A judge subsequently dismissed that suit.

According to TMZ, a federal judge granted Lively a partial victory last month in a legal motion following her settlement with Baldoni's production company. The judge awarded her attorneys fees but denied her request for additional financial penalties. Lively sent Baldoni a bill exceeding eight million dollars.

The legal battle, which has spanned two years, appears to be winding down as both parties move forward from the contentious dispute that overshadowed their professional collaboration on the film.
