Federal Judge Orders Forfeiture of Diddy's Seized Property

Sean Combs, known professionally as Diddy, has permanently lost thousands of dollars in cash and multiple electronic devices to the federal government following a court order signed Tuesday.

Judge Arun Subramanian, who presided over the music mogul's criminal trial, signed the forfeiture order on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, authorizing federal authorities to take possession of property confiscated during Combs's arrest and subsequent raids on his residences. The government may now dispose of the items in accordance with federal law.

The forfeited property includes $9,000 in cash seized from the Park Hyatt Hotel on September 16, 2024, when Combs was taken into federal custody. Additionally, numerous electronic devices were confiscated, including multiple iPhones, iPads, and hard drives.

Court documents indicate that no claims contesting the forfeiture were filed within the required 30-day period following publication of the forfeiture notice. The absence of any legal challenge cleared the way for Judge Subramanian to finalize the order, making the government's seizure permanent.

Federal agents raided multiple properties belonging to Combs in 2024 prior to his arrest. He was subsequently charged with multiple offenses and convicted on two counts related to prostitution.

Combs is currently incarcerated in federal prison. His release date was recently extended to February 20, 2028, following a violent altercation that resulted in his placement in a Special Housing Unit.

Representatives for Combs did not respond to requests for comment on the forfeiture order.
