FBI Files Detail Testimony from Jeffrey Epstein's Former Private Chef on High-Profile Visitors

Newly obtained Federal Bureau of Investigation files have shed additional light on the network of high-profile individuals who associated with Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The documents contain testimony from Adam Perry Lang, who served as Epstein's private chef and provided investigators with detailed accounts of his observations during his employment.

According to the FBI records, federal agents interviewed Perry Lang via video conference in 2021, during which the chef described his experiences working for Epstein and detailed interactions with various prominent guests. The investigation formed part of the broader federal inquiry into Epstein's criminal activities and the network of individuals connected to him.

Testimony Regarding Ghislaine Maxwell

Perry Lang testified that he primarily reported to Ghislaine Maxwell, who was subsequently convicted in December 2021 by a federal jury in New York on charges of sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. The FBI report documented Perry Lang's observations of Maxwell's demeanor and her role within Epstein's household operations.

The FBI file stated that Maxwell exhibited materialistic tendencies and displayed fluctuating moods, ranging from upbeat to withdrawn to aggressive in her interactions with Perry Lang. According to the testimony, Maxwell instructed the chef that he was not permitted to speak with guests. Perry Lang indicated to investigators that Maxwell's behavior suggested a complex dynamic with Epstein, noting that she appeared constantly occupied with coordinating activities and ensuring Epstein's satisfaction. The chef initially believed Maxwell to be Epstein's romantic partner before understanding that she functioned as an employee.

Accounts of High-Profile Visitors

The FBI documents reveal that Perry Lang provided information regarding several prominent individuals who visited Epstein's properties. According to the files, the chef observed Prince Andrew, a member of the British royal family, at locations in both Florida and the Virgin Islands. Perry Lang stated that Maxwell appeared particularly enthusiastic about hosting the royal visitor and noted that Prince Andrew traveled on Epstein's aircraft on at least one occasion.

Prince Andrew has publicly denied any wrongdoing and has expressed regret regarding his association with Epstein. On February 19, the Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, though he has not issued public statements regarding that matter.

Perry Lang also told investigators that President Donald Trump attended a dinner event. Trump has denied any improper conduct in connection with Epstein. Additionally, the chef mentioned former President Bill Clinton, stating that Clinton traveled on Epstein's aircraft and consumed food that Perry Lang had prepared on his cutting board.

On February 27, Clinton testified before the House Oversight Committee regarding his connection to Epstein. In a statement released on the day of his appearance, Clinton denied any wrongdoing, stating: "I know what I saw, and more importantly, what I didn't see. I know what I did, and more importantly, what I didn't do. I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong."

Observations of Epstein's Behavior

In his testimony, Perry Lang characterized Epstein as generally laid back, with an attitude suggesting he believed the world was at his disposal. However, the chef recounted one incident that revealed a different aspect of Epstein's temperament. After Perry Lang requested a personal day and left prepared food in the refrigerator, Epstein allegedly responded with significant aggression the following day, displaying what the FBI files described as an intense energy.

Background on the Epstein Case

Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 at the age of 66 while in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. At the time of his death, he was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Prosecutors had alleged that Epstein sexually abused dozens of girls in New York and Florida, with some charges relating to conduct dating back to the early 2000s.

In correspondence sent to Congress over the President's Day weekend, Attorney General Pam Bondi indicated that the Justice Department had released all Epstein-related files required by law. However, officials have indicated that additional documents are expected to be made public at a future date, suggesting that further details regarding the case may yet emerge.

The ongoing release of FBI files continues to provide insight into the scope of Epstein's social connections and the federal investigation into his criminal activities. As additional documents become available, the public may gain further understanding of the network that surrounded one of the most notorious criminal cases in recent American history.
