Estate Details Emerge for Late Producer Tay Keith

The estate of acclaimed music producer Tay Keith encompasses significant assets ranging from luxury automobiles to music publishing rights, according to court filings that detail the scope of holdings left behind when the 29-year-old died last month.

A family member appointed to administer the estate has catalogued substantial holdings that include bank accounts, money market accounts, a Mercedes-Maybach, and a Lamborghini, TMZ.com reported. The producer, whose legal name was Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, died on June 18, 2026.

Real estate and business ventures comprise a significant portion of the estate. Court documents indicate Tay Keith held a 50 percent ownership stake in a Memphis residence, along with an interest in Shadow Tequila and a 50 percent stake in an engineering studio. His music-related assets include publishing interests, his complete music catalog, and associated trademarks and royalties.

The administrator indicated plans to coordinate with the producer's record label and publishing companies to ensure proper payment distribution. Court filings noted that Tay Keith was unmarried and had no children at the time of his death. He did not leave behind a will.

The producer, who collaborated with high-profile artists including Travis Scott and Sexyy Red, was discovered deceased inside his Nashville apartment. Authorities responded after his girlfriend requested a welfare check, explaining that he had called asking her to visit but subsequently stopped responding to communication.

The girlfriend informed police that Tay Keith had been managing high blood pressure and experiencing breathing difficulties. Officials have not yet released a cause of death.

The absence of a will means the estate will be distributed according to Tennessee intestacy laws, which govern asset distribution when someone dies without testamentary documents. The complexity of the estate, particularly the music industry holdings and intellectual property rights, will likely require extensive legal work to properly value and distribute the assets.
