A Los Angeles Superior Court hearing on Tuesday brought to light shocking allegations in the ongoing legal battle between actors Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans, as the court considered renewal of a restraining order initially granted in 2022.
Linda Blank, who operates a Facebook fan page dedicated to Evans, provided testimony that the 57-year-old actress allegedly solicited her supporters to send packages containing dog excrement to her former husband's residence. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Blank stated that Evans provided Gruffudd's address and actively encouraged this behavior among her online following.
"Alice gave us Ioan's address and encouraged us and other people to send him a bag of dog excrement," Blank reportedly testified before the judge. "She wanted people to think he was the bad guy running off with Bianca Wallace and leaving her and their girls, leaving her destitute."
Background of the Contentious Split
The former couple's relationship dates back to 1999, when they met on the set of the film "102 Dalmatians." They married in September 2007 and welcomed two daughters, Ella and Elsie, born in 2009 and 2013 respectively. Their 14-year marriage came to an end when Gruffudd, 52, filed for divorce in March 2021.
The dissolution of their marriage quickly escalated into a highly publicized dispute. Evans publicly accused her former spouse of infidelity after Gruffudd confirmed his relationship with actress Bianca Wallace, 33, in October 2021. In social media posts that have since been deleted, Evans claimed that Gruffudd had been involved with Wallace for three years prior to their separation. These allegations were subsequently disputed by individuals close to Wallace.
Legal Protections and Ongoing Proceedings
In 2022, one year following the divorce filing, Gruffudd sought legal protection from his former spouse. Court documents revealed that the "Fantastic Four" actor alleged Evans had threatened to damage his professional reputation and make false public statements if he proceeded with the separation. These claims dated back to August 2020, prior to their official separation on January 1, 2021.
The court granted Gruffudd a three-year restraining order in August 2022. The order specifically prohibited Evans from mentioning her former husband on social media platforms and from sharing private text messages involving their minor children. The current hearing addresses the potential renewal of this protective order.
Court records from July 2023 indicate that while the marriage has been legally dissolved in terms of status, the former couple continues to litigate matters concerning financial arrangements and custody of their two daughters. These proceedings remain active in the Los Angeles court system.
New Chapter for Gruffudd
Despite the ongoing legal complications, Gruffudd has moved forward with his personal life. He married Wallace in April 2025, and the couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Mila Mae, in November of the same year. The couple announced the birth via social media, expressing their joy at the new addition to their family.
Representatives for both Gruffudd and Evans have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations presented in Tuesday's court testimony. The case serves as a reminder of how celebrity divorces can extend far beyond the courtroom, affecting not only the parties involved but also their supporters and public perception.
