Celebrity Blogger Hospitalized in Las Vegas Emergency

Celebrity blogger and media personality Perez Hilton has disclosed a recent medical emergency that resulted in hospitalization at a Las Vegas healthcare facility, though the specific nature of his condition remains undisclosed.

The 47-year-old entertainment figure shared photographs from his stay at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Clark County on Saturday, March 21, via social media. The images depicted medical equipment including oxygen apparatus and revealed what appeared to be surgical scarring on his abdomen.

"March madness indeed! Have I got a story to tell," Hilton wrote in his initial post, hinting at forthcoming details about the medical incident.

The photographs, which included images of the media personality with nasal tubes and an oxygen mask, prompted an outpouring of support from entertainment industry figures. Notable personalities including singer Bebe Rexha, political commentator Meghan McCain, and actress Francia Raisa offered well-wishes in response to the disclosure.

In a subsequent social media update, Hilton confirmed his return home and offered praise for the Las Vegas medical facility that treated him. His commentary addressed concerns about healthcare quality in the region, a topic he indicated had been raised prior to his relocation to Nevada.

"When I moved to Las Vegas three years ago, I heard horror stories about the healthcare here," Hilton stated in a video message. "But I need to let everybody know that I went to Southern Hills Hospital and I received the best care there."

The media personality specifically acknowledged the medical staff who attended to him during his hospital stay, suggesting the severity of his condition warranted significant intervention. He expressed particular gratitude toward members of the Filipino nursing community who provided care.

"Everybody was amazing... Thank you all and, also, thank you to the Filipino community. So many of my nurses were Filipino," he stated. "I would not be home already, if it were not for you."

Hilton relocated to Las Vegas from Los Angeles in January 2023 with his three children: Mario Armando, 13, Mia Alma, 10, and Mayte Amor, 8. The transition involved selling his California residence and constructing a new home in Nevada, a process he previously described as challenging but ultimately rewarding.

The blogger, known for his celebrity gossip website and appearances on reality television programs including Celebrity Big Brother, has promised to provide comprehensive details about his medical emergency in the near future. As of this publication, his representatives have not responded to requests for additional information regarding his condition or prognosis.

The incident underscores the critical role of local healthcare facilities in serving both long-time residents and newer arrivals to the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, located in Clark County, provides emergency and acute care services to the southern Nevada community.
