A Beverly Hills residence was struck by gunfire on Sunday afternoon in an incident that resulted in one arrest and no reported injuries, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting occurred at 1:21 PM on March 8, when a suspect fired multiple rounds from a vehicle toward the property. A spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed that at least one round penetrated a wall of the home. The residence was occupied at the time of the incident.
LAPD radio dispatch indicated that approximately 10 shots were fired from a white Tesla parked across the street from the property's gate. The vehicle fled the scene immediately following the shooting.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and pursued it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where they arrested a 30-year-old female suspect. Dispatch descriptions indicated the suspect wore her hair in braids and was dressed in a cream-colored blouse at the time of the incident.
The weapon allegedly used in the shooting was described as an AR-15-style rifle. Additional information regarding the suspect, including formal booking allegations, is expected to be released on Monday, March 9.
The LAPD's elite Robbery-Homicide Division has assumed control of the investigation, indicating the serious nature of the incident. Yellow police crime scene tape cordoned off the leafy Beverly Hills street as investigators processed the scene on Sunday.
